What was different about Mary - she would visit families through their lives. She even wanted to adopt a child prostitute who was her project subject.

    Digital Imaging, Printing and Exhibition  Task 1: Prepare and print photographic images AC 1.1, 2.1   When choosing the images for the exhibition I have decided that the first one will be to the liking of my classmates and the second one will have a personal meaning. Both photos have been printed via theprintspace.co.uk. When preparing an image for printing you will need the best resolution pixelation - no less than 300 dpi. The cropped image will still look quality but if a resolution is lower, for example, 72 dpi photo will not print well. Full-frame cameras produce the best results for printing purposes. The camera which I use is Canon EOS 700D with APS-C sensor, dimensions 22.3 x 14.9 mm. I was not able to print images in very big format but A3 format was easily achievable. ‘Sw ing of joy’ Theprintspace.co.uk offers 2 types of printing paper: Silver-based Digital C-type prints are archival photographic prints, letting you capture and preserve the beauty of your photography.

Jo Spence was a charismatic personality and an early pioneer of photography therapy. She has captured her fight with breast cancer. She was a middle-aged woman and no beauty but her pictures were very powerful. Jo Spence was a feminist artist and activist who explored themes of gender, class, and self-identity. After Spence was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1982, she made several series of self-portraits documenting her battle with the disease until her death from leukaemia a decade later. The photographs expressed her physical and emotional state. Her doctor and collaborator Tim Sheard explained, ‘Spence is representing the honest emotions felt living in an unruly body that cannot conform to the pressures
